“Two lifelong observations:

There are builders. I define them as strong people who build significant relationships, movements, and a number of good things.

There are saboteurs — individuals fueled by envy and pettiness, who spend  a great deal of energy and time employing accusations and sabotage against builders.

The challenge of leadership is to correctly assess both and deal with them accordingly and decisively. Partner with builders and shun saboteurs.” Hakim

Some would say the world is at war with itself, and others would say it is at peace with the status quo. Jesus said, “Fear not, I have overcome the world.” I say, that is still good news for the world, and the world to come.

I held a belief about fighting and struggling for a long time. It’s what I knew and it became an identity thing. I believed every challenge had to be met, addressed, or called out in some way or I could possibly be overtaken by it and my efforts would be thwarted. I accomplished quite a bit believing this but it came with a price. Stress, paranoia, distrust, anger, and frustration were typical companions. As I’ve matured and surrounded myself with the right people and stayed anchored in Christ, I’ve learned to rest in peace and stay the course before me. Storms, adversaries, and other challenges are there to harden your resolve to complete your course. They are also there so you gain compassion and empathy for others going through similar trials. Harden your resolve but never harden your heart. Hakim

“Doing the right thing has little to nothing to do with proving others wrong.” Hakim
